Facilities at The Northern School of Art's Hartlepool Campus are constantly being improved and evolve along with the standards of industry: an £8m, purpose built studio space opened to students in September 2017 – close to our existing buildings on Church Square and student accommodation at Crown Halls.
This expansion of our campus is in line with our vision to provide state-of-the-art facilities for those art students who are serious about a creative career. The new facilities allow us to offer more of the quality work spaces our students cherish and value, including individual work bays, flexible studio space, double-height studios for photography and TV or film work. Programmes which are delivered on the new campus include: BA (Hons) Production Design for Stage and Screen; BA (Hons) Textiles and Surface Design, BA (Hons) Contemporary Textile Products; BA (Hons) Fine Art; BA (Hons) Photographic practice (with Moving Image), BA (Hons) Commercial Photography and BA (Hons) TV, Film and Theatre Production. Costume, graphics, illustration and commercial photography will remain in our beautiful listed buildings Muncipal and Leadbitter.
