Joseph Casling is an Actor, Clown and Theatre Maker from County Durham, represented by Glynis Wozniak of Wozniak Management.

After beginning his training with a local rep theatre, he attended the Northern School of Art, where he gained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.

During his time at the Northern School of Art, he attended National Youth Theatre and began working on his Clown Show ‘Conked Out’, which in 2021 won the ARC Award for ‘Best Solo Show.’ The show has been touring across Europe since and in 2025, as part of his creative practice, Joseph attended Ecole Phillipe Gaulier, where he engaged with their Master’s Intensive Clown Course.

Joseph is now a part-time lecturer at the Northern School of Art, with an interest in a neurodivergent appropriate approach to actor training. He also works regularly with ‘The BrainSoup Collective’, a regional theatre company dedicated to making neurodivergent friendly, surreal theatre.
