The Northern School of Art is partnering with the Royal Ballet & Opera to bring an exciting and completely FREE Design CPD session to teachers and educators in and around the Tees Valley.
Taking place at our Hartlepool campus on Wednesday 11 November 2026, this unique professional development opportunity will provide practical, classroom-ready approaches to creative teaching and learning for educators working across primary, secondary and SEND settings.
Led by expert practitioners from the Royal Ballet & Opera, the award-winning programme requires no previous design experience and has been developed to help teachers build confidence in delivering creative learning across the curriculum.
Participants will:
- Gain FREE certified CPD from the Royal Ballet & Opera
- Explore practical and inclusive approaches to teaching creativity and design
- Receive ready-to-use classroom resources and lesson ideas
- Develop creative approaches that support pupil wellbeing, collaboration and problem-solving
- Discover how design can support learning across Art & Design, Design & Technology, STEM and the wider curriculum
The programme will explore storytelling, character and mood through production design inspired by world-renowned Royal Ballet & Opera productions including Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and The Magic Flute.
