Since graduating from The Northern School of Art’s BA (Hons) Illustration for Commercial Application course in 2025, Jasper Gray has worked as a whimsical comic artist and illustrator in the North East, with a handmade feel built on riso textures and character design. He also studied MA Creative Practice at the School.
His final-year project was HallowTide, a self-published, 80-page original video game concept book designed as a walkthrough manual. Alongside it he has created and sold zines, stickers and prints.
His commercial clients include Fausto magazine, Hartlepool Borough Council and Preston Park Museum. He also works as a Creative Technician at The Northern College of Art.
