Since graduating from The Northern School of Art’s BA (Hons) Production Design for Stage & Screen course as an award winner in 2023, Charlie Poole has quickly built professional experience within television and film art departments.
Charlie’s first credit came as an Art Department Trainee on Jackdaw, before moving into Art Department Assistant roles on Coronation Street and All Creatures Great and Small. He also worked in a production role at EPH Creative and gained experience as a stagehand at Darlington Hippodrome, where a contact he made led to his work on All Creatures Great and Small.
He has since worked as Production Designer on a short film, and as Assistant Art Director on The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, alongside continuing work as an Art Department Assistant on House of the Dragon.
“Studying at The Northern School of Art were three of the best years of my life. I built many new relationships with other students and tutors, who I am very thankful for, for teaching me everything they know about the industry,” Charlie has said.
