Polly has a deep connection with the Northern School of Art after studying at the Middlesbrough campus (formally Cleveland College of Art & Design) in 2003 at the age of 16 – cutting her teeth with some of the most inspirational lecturers and students, in one of the most creative environments she has experienced.
Polly then went on to graduate from Northumbria University with a degree in Fashion Design and Marketing and began working in a variety of creative fields within the industry. Since then, she has 13 years of lecturing experience in both higher and further education sectors, firstly lecturing at Sheffield Hallam University on the BA Fashion programme. Eventually, the pull of the Northern School of Art brought her back to the institution where she began lecturing on a range of art and design-based programmes at both campuses here at the Northern School of Art.
Polly is currently developing the new BA Fashion programme at our Hartlepool campus and continues to teach on the successful FE fashion provision, and joining the board of Governors in 2022.
