Since graduating from The Northern School of Art’s BA (Hons) Film, TV and Theatre Production course, Hannah Trafford has built a varied career as a stage manager, sound engineer and company manager, working across touring theatre, circus, pantomime and children’s productions.
Hannah’s early touring work included two engagements as Touring Technical Manager for TAG Live’s touring circus production, setting up AV, sound and pyrotechnics and operating cues throughout performances. She went on to work as Assistant Stage Manager and Touring Technician for Open Clasp Theatre Company, building Q-Lab programmes and operating lighting, sound and projection cues on tour, and as a live sound engineer for a performance at Stockport Plaza.
Hannah has also worked as Deputy Stage Manager for Blue Genie Entertainment’s pantomime in Whitley Bay across two consecutive seasons, running rehearsals, keeping the show book and calling performances.
A significant milestone in Hannah’s career came as Touring Company Manager for Maple Tree Entertainment’s UK tour, followed by her West End debut as Company Manager and show caller for the Ireland tour and West End run of Éireann, a new production from Pace Live Entertainment Group, calling a large-scale show involving AV, flying and pyrotechnics.
