What’s On // Mandascat work features in Hartlepool Waterfront Festival
If you’ve been wondering where you’ve seen the distinctive design on this year’s Hartlepool Waterfront Festival promotional material before, we can put your minds at ease – it is the fabulous work of our amazing Amanda White nee Smith aka Mandsascat.
Amanda’s work showcases her unique digital illustration style and has proven such a success that she has attracted the attention of overseas customers, with commissions coming from places such as the USA.
Amanda’s unique style caught the attention of Hartlepool Borough Council who commissioned Mandascat to create a series of Hartlepool landmarks which could be used within future marketing campaigns – with Amanda’s marina image being the first in the set used for the 2017 Hartlepool Waterfront Festival.
If you would like to see the full set, they are available to view in the window of our Folio Employability Centre on Church Square. Hartlepool Borough Council had previously commissioned graphic graduates to create new visuals for the train station in Hartlepool, so we at The Northern School of Art are pleased to continue this great opportunity to put the art in Hartlepool.
Fantastic work once again from Amanda, showing the next generation of creative students that she practices what she preaches.
