The Northern Art Gala, a series of exhibitions showcasing an exciting range of creative talent from The Northern School of Art‘s postgraduate art and design students is in it’s second year. Taking place across leading Tees Valley galleries and museums this years artworks and installations can be found at Pineapple Black, The Bis, ARC Stockton, The Bank and Kirkleatham Museum, amongst other solo venues and exhibitions launching from the 12th January.

Launch events include a range of group exhibitions and a sprinkling of solo shows some details can be be found below. Specific artists details and the full programme are available on instagram head to @thenorthernartgala.

Solo Shows include:

  • Pineapple Black, ‘Customise Your World’ (A Solo Show by Grimesz) Preview Event Friday 12th January 3-7pm, (Exhibition runs 19th January – 17th February, alongside Pineapple Black’s ‘Last Shot’ Exhibition)
  • Easington Miners Welfare Social Club – ‘Last Man Standing’ (A project in collaboration with MA student Russell Smith and others, 1 night only).

 

Group Shows include:

    • Thursday 18th January, ARC Art Centre, Stockton 5.30pm-7.30pm

    The ARC will be showcasing a range of Textiles, Costume & Illustration.

    • Friday 19th January, The BIS, Hartlepool, 4.30pm-6.30pm

    The BIS will be showcasing a range of Fine Art and Photography

    • Friday 19th January, The Bank, Hartlepool, 6.30pm-8.30pm

    The Bank will be showcasing Photography & Graphic Design
