Andy studied illustration and animation (previously known as interactive design) at The Northern School of Art and has since worked in the stop motion animation industry making costumes and props for Mackinnon and Saunders and Factory Create. The students were blown away by the models and maquette’s from Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride and former alumni Curtis Jobling’s Bob the Builder.”
Workshops and lectures from Industry professionals like Andy underpin our courses at our Middlesbrough campus, Speaking of the session Andy said; “It was a pleasure to be invited to speak to the Illustration and Animation students. When I was a student at The Northern School of Art, I was always fascinated to hear guests speak about the animation industry and it was surreal all these years later to be the person doing the speaking. I spoke with several of the students and was blown away by the quality of work, I think there is a bright future for all these young creatives.”
