Showcase of creative work unveiled at Middlesbrough campus Summer Show
Creative students and their friends and families celebrated in style as the end of year Summer Show opened at The Northern School of Art’s further education campus in Middlesbrough.
Almost 1500 guests were welcomed to the Newport Road building for the launch of the showcase of work by the talented leavers at the Ofsted-rated Outstanding art school who are now heading off for the next stage of their creative careers, either for further study or to start work.
Visitors saw displays of work by students on the School’s wide range of UAL Extended Diploma creative courses including fashion, photography, fine art, art and design, graphic and digital design, illustration and animation, textiles and surface design, film and TV and interiors, architecture and production design alongside work by A Level, Foundation Diploma and Access to Higher Education students.
Before the evening began an event was held where a series of awards recognising academic and creative excellence across the School’s programmes were presented by The Northern School of Art’s Principal, Dr Martin Raby, and The Northern School of Art Governor, Ian Swain.
All those nominated for an award received a certificate to display on their exhibition stand and winners and runners up were presented with a certificate and prize.
