Angus MawerThe idea behind the film this set is for is in the middle of the 2020 lockdowns. We all had to find ways to make the most out of the little we had, to make going up the stairs with some frank Sinatra playing to make you feel like you're in a Broadway show. The design pays homage to Broadway sets, with a grand staircase, bold colours and over-the-top lighting. This set is designed to be filmed on, with detachable walls for easier access when filming.

Anthony PreeceA The Hound of Cullen
As a mature student Anthony has a business creating props for the live role play and cosplay markets, he came to the Northern school of arts to learn new skills and hone the skills he already had. This piece entitled the hound of Cullen is based upon a giant hound from Celtic mythology and sits somewhere between a costume and a puppet, the wearer uses specially constructed stilts to raise themselves up and create the imposing size of the piece. This was planned and constructed as Anthony’s third year final major project in model making and visual effects.
