At this time we advise people to make their payments over the phone if possible to help support our Covid-19 related safety measures. However if this is not possible we are still able to process payments at our reception. About our clubs The aim is to nurture young talent, build confidence, develop creative skills and independence through a range of art and design activities, such as painting, drawing, collage, design, digital and 3D such a ceramics, textiles and model making in a safe and inclusive learning environment. Students will also learn about different artists and cultures and get to experience working in a college environment which encourages long term progression skills. We have young people from lots of different schools and areas so there are opportunities to meet new people and make new friends. Session Information The course is delivered by experienced and specialist tutors from The Northern School of Art. Each session is three hours starting at 10.00am and finishing at 1.00pm with a mid-morning break. Parents are not required to stay for the duration of the class. We ask that students bring with them refreshments for break time and wear old clothes that they don’t mind getting messy. The courses all run at our Middlesbrough Campus on Newport Road. After each block, students can continue with another term of the Saturday Club, as the projects change every term. Our Saturday Clubs are perfect for students already studying art and those that do not have creative courses in their school curriculum. They are a unique opportunity for young people to develop new skills and experiences within art and design. Payment can be taken over the phone 01642 288000 or settled on the first day of class, subject to availability. All materials and equipment are provided.

The Northern School of Art’s Middlesbrough campus has been given another ‘Outstanding’ rating by Ofsted. Following an intensive four-day inspection by six inspectors the School’s further education provision has retained the top rating it has held since 2009.
