You’re invited to a special Applicant Event at The Northern School of Art — designed exclusively for students who have applied to study with us this September.

Taking place during our End of Year Summer Show (18–24 June), this is the perfect time to visit and experience the School at its most creative and inspiring.

What to expect

This event is all about helping you feel confident and excited about starting with us.

You will have the opportunity to:

• Explore our vibrant Summer Show and see student work across the School
• Meet your future tutors and get a deeper insight into your course
• Start to get to know other students joining in September
• Speak to current students about life at Northern School of Art
• Get a clear idea of what to expect before enrolment

This isn’t a typical open event — it’s designed specifically for applicants.

It’s your chance to take the next step, ask questions, and start to feel part of the Northern community before you officially enrol.

🕑 2:00 – 4:00pm
📍 Middlesbrough Campus

Please arrive at reception for a prompt 2:00pm start, where a member of the Student Recruitment team will welcome you and introduce you to your tutor for the session.

You may not need to stay for the full two hours, so please ensure you have flexible travel arrangements if leaving earlier.

Who should attend?

This event is designed specifically for applicants, giving you the chance to fully immerse yourself in the experience, meet your tutors, and start building connections with other students ahead of September.

To help create the best possible environment, we encourage applicants to attend the session independently.

Parents/carers are very welcome to accompany you to campus and can relax in our Art Café during the event.

We understand that some students may feel nervous or require additional support — in these cases, parents/carers are absolutely welcome to join the session.

If you have not yet applied, we recommend attending our Open Event earlier in the day (10:00am – 1:00pm).
