Live, Create and Explore by the Coast
Hartlepool is a vibrant coastal town in the North East of England full of character, culture and creative energy. Our Hartlepool campus is at the heart of the town, giving you easy access to independent cafés, galleries, bars and shops. It is a place where you can feel inspired and part of a welcoming community.
With Victorian architecture, historic docks, green parks and sandy beaches all around, Hartlepool offers plenty of inspiration for photography, sketching and creative projects. You will never be short of ideas for your artwork.
Campus & Community
Our campus is right in the town’s Innovation and Skills Quarter. You will be within walking distance of cafés, bars, shops and cultural spaces while still being close to your studios and student accommodation.
“The student life in Hartlepool is really vibrant. When I came here I was worried I would be lonely and make no friends, but it was the complete opposite.” - current student
Affordable Living
Hartlepool is one of the most affordable places to live in the UK, which means your money goes further. Whether it is grabbing a coffee with friends or going out for the evening, you will find plenty to do without breaking the bank.
Friendly Creative Community
With a smaller student population, it is easy to get to know your lecturers and fellow students. There are always opportunities to collaborate, take part in exhibitions and social activities, and get involved with the Students’ Union and local projects.
