CONNOR LOVETT

Qualifications:
BA (Hons) Film, TV & Theatre Production – First Class Honours
Connor is an award-winning filmmaker who studied a BA (Hons) course in Film, TV & Theatre Production at the Northern School of Art, where he graduated with First Class Honours in 2021. Connor has expertise in cinematography and post-production colour grading, being able to hone these skills on many of his own productions as well as contributing in supporting roles on various professional creative and commercial productions.
In 2019, Connor received a Royal Television Society award for achievements in lighting for his short-form production ‘Night Shift’, which was also commended at New Renaissance Film Festival in London.
Connor can competently use his experience in the filmmaking sector to provide both the Acting for Stage & Screen and Film, TV & Theatre Production courses with camera-specific expertise and insight.
Connor also teaches the Film & Screen National Saturday Club in Middlesbrough, where he uses his practical knowledge of film production to nurture and develop the talent of students aged 13-16.

· Criterion (2025) – Directed by Daylen Oakes. Connor worked as Director of Photography for this sci-fi short, which was intended as the director’s submission to the National Film & Television School in London. Currently still in production.
· Contrails (2024) – Directed by George Dickson. Connor worked as Director of Photography and Colourist for this short-form Drama, which has been screened in festivals across the UK & Ireland, where it has been highly commended.
· Hysteria (2024) – Directed by Oscar Fitchett for RNQ Films. Connor worked as Director of Photography and Camera Operator on this horror short. Hysteria was highly commended at Tees Valley International Film Festival.
· Lore (2023) – Directed by James Bushe & Greig Johnson for Sea & Sky Pictures. Connor worked as a camera trainee on this feature-length anthology horror. Lore has had successful screenings both domestically and internationally.
· Seeing (2023) – Directed by James Campbell for Eighties Doubt Productions. For this proof-of-concept short, Connor worked as gaffer alongside fellow Creative Technician, Lee Charnley. This short has now been developed into a feature-length film currently in production.
