The state funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II takes place on Monday 19th September 2022. Our school will close on this day as a mark of respect. We extend our thoughts and sympathies to The Royal Family at this difficult time.

A statement from Principal Dr Martin Raby –

“I should like to express not only my condolences, but also those of the governors, staff and students at The Northern School of Art, to the Royal Family at this difficult time.

Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was an ineffable monarch; her seven decades of dedication and service to our nation, and to all the nations for whom she was head of state, will surely remain unequalled.

Her death is a profound loss, and the country’s mourning today is a sign of the great esteem and affection felt for her by her subjects.”
