Delight at A-Level results success!
The Northern School of Art is celebrating a bumper year of A-Level results successes.
Of the students receiving their results at the School’s Middlesbrough campus in Newport Road, 45% have been awarded high grades (A* – B) in their A2 results with 100% achieving 3 A-Levels.
This continues the trend of year-on-year increases in A-Level results over the past few years at the creative education specialist institution which was awarded its third successive Ofsted Outstanding rating this year (see the photo above for the campus celebrations!).
Reflecting on the achievements of the School’s A-Level cohort, Amanda Smith, The Northern School of Art’s FE Quality Manager, said:
“Our A-Level team are all amazing. They offer a real family approach to learners with individual teaching strategies that allow them to find their own strengths.
“This approach has had a very positive effect on our students’ experiences which is reflected in the results and parents and carers have congratulated the team for the support they provide.
“The team’s ethos focuses on educational trips and community projects to get real life experiences which has an impact not only on the learners’ understanding but also their motivation to work so hard to realise their potential.
“Not only that, they have had lots of fun spray painting for KFC and driving fishing boats and exhibiting locally and taking on work experience. I am very lucky to be working with such an amazing driven team of lecturers that students love to spend time with.”
Rob Kane, Vice Principal (Further Education) at The Northern School of Art, said: “Our approach to A-Levels is geared towards helping learners to excel in their creative education. I’m proud of our dedicated teaching staff, who work closely with students to unlock their passions and prepare them for the skills needed in the workplace.
“With some of the highest attendance in the School, our A-Level students’ commitment is reflected in their outstanding results. Everyone should be extremely proud of what they have achieved, very well done to all.”
