Production Design for Stage and Screen Graduate Hannah Postlethwaite recreates famous cafe in Waterstones Piccadilly
Production Design for Stage and Screen Graduate Hannah Postlethwaite, has recreated the iconic Guinea Pig Cafe from the acclaimed comedy, Fleabag, in Waterstone’s Piccadilly, London!
Hannah has packed it full of little treasures from the programme, including a replica of Godmother Olivia Colman’s gold sculpture. There’s also a sign for Chatty Wednesdays – the weekly event created by Fleabag for lonely people wanting to have a natter – as well as a picture of the character’s late friend Boo, who originally came up with the niche cafe idea.
Hannah only graduated July 2018 so we are all in awe of her new ventures into the industry!
The incredible set has been built in line with the launch of the brand new book titled Fleabag: The Scriptures, which brings together the complete filming scripts of both seasons one and two, on top of never-seen-before stage directions and new writing from Phoebe herself.
It’s worth noting that the cafe isn’t actually fully-functioning, so you won’t be able to purchase a cheese sandwich at the eye-watering price of £12.50.
