Students’ Union Update April 2018
I hope you have all enjoyed your Easter break and are ready and energised for the rest of the year!
Here is what we have planned for next week and beyond through the SU for you all to take part in:
CANVAS
Don’t forget to grab a copy of Canvas, our student magazine which includes: an introduction to our SU Exec team, some great student articles, lots of student work and a revisit to what’s been going on this year.
Canvas Spring Edition 2018
YOGA
Come along to our yoga sessions running on Mondays 5.15pm – 6pm in room 64 in the main building on Church Square.
Sessions are just £3, pay per session or in blocks of 5. To take part pay at reception prior to the session to ensure your place!
RUNNING
Taking place on Monday’s and Wednesday’s, meeting at 5.15pm in reception at 1 Church Street. We will no longer be strictly sticking to the couch to 5k programme but instead will hold open sessions, where you can run the distance or type of run of your choice. So come along, meet likeminded people and go for a run!
Also the weather is hopefully meant to be much nicer, so you have no excuse..
KICKBOXING
Kickboxing is back on Thursday 5.15 – 6.15pm and still at the bargain price of £2!
Even if you have never been to a session before and have no experience, everyone is welcome to come along and pick up a few kickboxing techniques.

KNITTING AND STITCHING CLUB
Wednesday’s 12.30pm in room 64 (upstairs in the main building) at Church Square. Ask at reception if you are unsure where to find the room
Come along to get involved in all forms of hand stitching, from knitting, crochet, quilting, patchwork, embroidery etc. Everyone is welcome!
ILLUSTRATION ART & BAKE SALE
Taking place in the art café at 1 Church Street on Tuesday 24th and Wednesday 25th April, come along for art and food treats aplenty!
ON THE BOX Exhibition
Don’t forget to check out the great Level 5 Textiles exhibition, still on show in the gallery space as you enter 1 Church Street through the main entrance and check out their Instagram page @ccad_onthebox
GRADUATION GOWN MEASUREMENT SERVICE
Do you need your measurements taken for your graduation gowns? For just a £1 Level 6 Costume students are offering help to get all your measurements ready to send off, which includes free safety pins and hair grips. Head along to the top floor of the Leadbitter building on Tuesdays and Wednesdays 12.30 – 1.30pm, this service will be running up to 31st May.
