What to expect…
Before the Open Day
We encourage you to book in advance. When you book, you have the option to choose your area of interest so we can tailor the open day to your needs. A confirmation email will be sent closer to the time, which includes the schedule, parking info and directions etc.
During the Open Day
1. Registration
Please arrive early to allow enough time for registration. You can then grab a complimentary drink and pastry in our Art Café before the Welcome Talk.
2. Welcome talk
You will be given a brief introduction into what makes us UNIQUE by our Principal and Vice Principal (Employability & External Relations) and also a brief talk about student life at The Northern School of Art.
3. Programme Specific Talks – Your area of interest
You will then meet with the relevant programme team who will show you to your department of interest, allowing you the opportunity to see our amazing facilities, student work, and gain a deeper insight into what modules you’ll be covering on the degree.
4. Q & A
The Q&A Panel is made up of academic staff covering all programme areas and includes staff from student services and the SU. This is an ideal opportunity to ask any questions you may have about studying at The Northern School of Art as a whole.
You may want to ask us about student finance, parking, employability, accommodation, student life and so on.
5. Accommodation Viewing (on-campus)
Take a look inside one of our high-quality halls of residence to realise all the benefits our students receive when residing with us – our accommodation is EXCELLENT value for money!
6. Lunch
A complimentary lunch is served to all visitors in our Art Café.
7. Interview Slots & Department Talks
This is an optional session. In the last part of the day all programme staff will be available to chat more about their course. Our Student Union, Finance Team, Recruitment Team and Student Support will all be available to answer any questions you have.
There is also time for an impromptu inteview during this part of the day. If you would like to have an impromptu interview please tick this options when you book a place on the open day.
Do you have more than one area of interest?
We understand that visitors may have more than one area of interest. Please let us know about any other areas when you arrive and we will make sure we will put you in touch with the relevant programme teams.
Parents/Guardians and friends are welcome to attend on any part of the schedule.
