Art & Design Students will cover skills such as painting, drawing, collage, design, digital and 3D such a ceramics, textiles and model making in a safe and inclusive learning environment. Students will also learn about different artists and cultures and get to experience working in a college environment which encourages long term progression skills. We have young people from lots of different schools and areas so there are opportunities to meet new people and make new friends. Film & Media Supported by the British Film Institute, the Film & Media Saturday Club celebrates and explores the breadth of film and screen from production, editing and sound design to VFX, scripting and animation. Every Saturday, the Club will bring the film and screen industries to life, creating the perfect space for you to discover a vast array of future possibilities in this dynamic sector. Industry experts and professional tutors will guide you through the programme, developing your skills, building your confidence and sparking your imagination! Session Information The course is delivered by experienced and specialist tutors from The Northern School of Art. Each session is three hours starting at 10.00am and finishing at 1.00pm with a mid-morning break. Parents are not required to stay for the duration of the class. We ask that students bring with them refreshments for break time and wear old clothes that they don’t mind getting messy. The courses all run at our Middlesbrough Campus on Newport Road. After each block, students can continue with another term of the Saturday Club, as the projects change every term. Our Saturday Clubs are perfect for students already studying art and those that do not have creative courses in their school curriculum. They are a unique opportunity for young people to develop new skills and experiences within art and design.
