Calm Digital Deliver Professional Workshop to FE Graphics Students
This month our students attended a session with Calm Digital, a Teeside digital design company that works across UX Design and Digital Marketing. With over 20 years experience in this industry this session offered our students great insight in to their chosen industries.
Following a presentation to first year students Calm spent time with the students focusing on their own individual UX & UI projects, giving feedback and guidance. The students found this guidance valuable and appreciated the project feedback along with an insight into the thriving Middlesbrough digital and graphics design industries.
“The design team at Calm loved visiting the Northern School of Art. It was a fantastic opportunity to see the UI/UX projects that the students are currently working on, and for Ben, Deborah and Joanne to be able to answer any questions on what it’s like working in a digital agency. We hope our visit was informative and helpful for the students and we’re looking forward to seeing them again soon!”
Students found the sessions insightful speaking of the experience first year student Toby McGurk commented, “I really enjoyed it, everyone from calm was friendly and helpful. Their presentation was interesting and allowed me to see other areas of ux/ui and future opportunities that are available for our progress route. Their feedback on my work was very helpful and helped me make sure my experiences and outcomes are and will be very professional.”
