Artworks, film sets, photography, film trailers, acting showreels, textiles, costumes, illustration, models and graphics have gone on show as part of this year’s celebration of work by final year students at The Northern School of Art.

Showcasing work by graduating students, the Degree Show at the School’s university-level campus at No. 1 Church Street, Hartlepool (TS24 7DR) is open to the public from Friday 2nd June to Friday 9th June.

Shining a spotlight on future names to look out for in the creative industry, the show includes work from each of The Northern School of Art’s specialist visual arts and stage and screen degrees course.

Following a preview evening for students and their families and friends on Wednesday 1 June, The Northern School of Art degree show is open to the public from Friday 2nd June to Friday 9th June.

At a ceremony held ahead of the doors opening a series of awards recognising academic and creative excellence across the School’s programmes were presented to students by The Northern School of Art’s Principal, Dr Martin Raby, and Governor, Sarah Fawcett.

The Northern School of Art’s Principal, Dr Raby said: “We are delighted to be celebrating the achievements of our final year BA (Hons) students and their hard-working commitment to their creative training and education.

“My sincerest congratulations to the award winners and to all our students on the success of this year’s degree show.

“There is a fantastic range of work on show and we would encourage everyone to come and see it.”

The Northern School of Art Degree Show highlights outstanding work through a range of student awards and present work from all graduating final year students across all BA (Hons) programmes including: BA (Hons) Acting for Stage & Screen, BA (Hons) Commercial Photography, BA (Hons) Costume Interpretation with Design, BA (Hons) Digital Design & Advertising, BA (Hons) Film, TV & Theatre Production, BA (Hons) Fine Art, BA (Hons) Graphic Design, BA (Hon) Illustration for Commercial Application, BA (Hons) Model Making & Visual Effects, BA (Hons) Photographic Practice (with Moving Image), BA (Hons) Production Design for Stage & Screen and BA (Hons) Textiles & Surface Design.

The Northern School of Art Degree Show takes place at 1 Church Street, Hartlepool, TS24 7DR from Friday 2nd June to Friday 9th June (closed Sunday 4th June). Opening times are Monday-Thursday 10:00 – 19:00, Friday & Saturday 10:00 – 16:00. Entrance is free.
