CPD Photography Workshop for Tees Valley Teachers in collaboration with Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA)

We’re delighted to host two free of charge CPD Teacher workshops in collaboration with the Tees Valley Combined Authority (TVCA).
These practical sessions are designed to support classroom teaching and curriculum development in photography and digital media. Teachers that are based within the Tees Valley are welcome to attend either session individually or both for a complete learning experience. Teachers are encouraged to book early to secure a limited space on these hands-on creative workshops.
Sessions will take place at our The Northern School of Art, Middlesbrough Campus on Newport Road.
Cost: Free of charge and includes refreshments and CPD Certificate of Completion!

Session 1: Studio Photography – Lighting, Portraiture & Creative Techniques
Wednesday 12 November | 4:00–7:00pm (approx.)
This hands-on workshop explores creative studio lighting and portrait photography. Learn how to control and shape light, experiment with ‘painting with light’ techniques, and capture professional-quality images using DSLR cameras and industry-standard studio equipment. Delivered by our in-house Photography team, led by Andrew Dunning, this session is perfect for teachers seeking new ideas and technical confidence to take back into the classroom.

Session 2: Digital Workflow & Editing in Adobe Lightroom
Wednesday 19 November | 4:00–7:00pm (approx.)
This follow-on (or standalone) session introduces efficient editing workflows using Adobe Lightroom. Explore file management, exposure correction, colour grading, and creative editing techniques, using either provided or personal image files. Led by The Northern School of Art’s Photography team, this workshop focuses on practical classroom applications and digital workflow integration.
