VII CCAD Fine Art Exhibition and Unpaintings by Tony Charles: Saturday 8th April
This weekend is said have beautiful weather in store for us in the North East, what better excuse than to head out to some inspiring art exhibitions in between interludes of sunshine?
On Saturday 8th April from 1pm-3pm Python Gallery is hosting a private view exhibition supporting the developing work of second year Fine Art Students! Set up in the main gallery, the show is titled VII (Seven, as there is seven students featured).

The show demonstrates the wealth of developing creative talent in the area whilst also signifying the strength and positivity of the creative climate of the region. It features a wide variety of approaches, styles, methodologies, materials and visual enquiry and are said to be truly meaningful shows.
So if you can make it on Saturday, come and celebrate the work produced by these very talented artists!
Coinciding with the success of BA(Hons) Fine Art, another exhibition which is definitely one not to miss, is ‘Unpainted’ presented by Fine Art Lecturer, Tony Charles in Platform A Gallery, Middlesbrough. The show is on until 21st April and showcases Tony’s ‘Unpaintings’, which are described as “palimpsests, multi-layered records bearing traces of their earlier aspects… which form amalgams of gesture and erasure, painting and sculpture” by Annie O’Donnell on her Corridor8 review.
