HATWALK 2020
Costume Undergraduates
BA (Hons) Costume for Interpretation with Design students held their annual Hatwalk where they displayed the intricate and delicate millinery design skills they acquired in their recent module.
There were over 100 hats displayed within the show, with roughly 90 people in attendance, raising over £350 towards the students’ degree show! Students from the School’s Acting for Stage and Screen, Production Design and Costume Interpretation with Design courses modelled the fantastic creations.
Costume student, Marc Hepworth, 20 from Huddersfield, organised and showed in the event, he told us,
” The Hatwalk was a fantastic night with support from peers, staff and families who all came together to create the most electric atmosphere.
“The hats all looked amazing and after all the hard work of Level 5 costume, this night was well deserved.
“Millinery has taught me so much about the industry and will influence my skills and knowledge for the rest of my career.
“I came to the Northern School of Art because of its credentials and passion for the arts”
