Acting and Film, TV and Theatre degree students share their course experiences

Recent graduates from The Northern School of Art’s BA (Hons) Acting for Stage & Screen and BA (Hons) Film, Television & Theatre Production degrees have been speaking about their experiences of studying on the courses.
“I’d do the course 100 times if that was allowed,” acting graduate Danielle Faye, pictured below right, said. “The lecturers will just support you to do what you want, so you really get what you want out of the course.”
Her fellow acting graduate Gemma Blake, pictured below left, added that the variety of projects had given her a wide range of skills: “From films to clowning, stage to radio, it’s been really interesting.”
Joseph Casling, pictured below second from left, who won the ARC Award for Best Solo Show in his final year, said that being introduced to new things was very helpful: “New writers, new plays, new styles; even if I’m not currently using them I will do in the future.”
Graduate actor Connor Dorian, pictured below second from right, added that the course had “just prepared me so much in every aspect.”
Film, TV & theatre production graduate Oscar Fitchett, pictured third from left below, winner of The Northern School of Art’s 2022 Film Student of the Year Award, the Gavin Murphy Achievement Award, said that the best thing had been “the frequent collaboration with everyone.”
