The Northern School of Art seeks to deliver ‘Exceptional Education for Creative Careers’ – it does this by engaging with a wide range of partners working across each creative sub-sector to ensure that teaching and learning are in line with the latest developments in and requirements of industry. Accordingly each course has developed an Industrial Liaison Group where students and academic staff engage with external partners on a range of issues to ensure that students gain a direct insight into the working of the creative sector For each course area, through the year, engagement will come through: • Consultation about curriculum content and development • Crit sessions, live-briefs and work experience opportunities • workshops and lectures to staff and students • visits to companies/locations. • Less formal contact at trade shows, conferences, and exhibitions Each ILG is made up of Visiting Fellows – people or organisations prominent in their field of creativity These Visiting Fellows are identified below for each of our faculties of study:
